Jeff snuck in the house with a photographer friend, Tom Pierce to capture the full artwork floor to ceiling.
The camera exploded! He moved his guitar, books and The Door into the basement of a friends house to start a new life.
Instead of art, Perkins spent the next 30 years creating psychedelic guitar music with his partner Ann Wood.
Flash forward 32 years. In 2022, Jeff stopped everything and started painting again.
The result is 30 large abstract expressionist paintings on canvas.
Each painting was created between 2 days and a week.
